1Password no icon in Safari 7.0.2

History: I've been using 1Password successfully with OS10.6.8 on a Hackintosh.
I bought a 2011 MacBook Pro running Lion and migrated files and Apps across to it.
Then I installed Mavericks and all updates.

Now, each time I launch 1Password and unlock it I see an announcement: Install Safar Extension? Safari Extension is not installed. Would you like to install it now?

I click on (Install Now) and the announcement vanishes.
I relaunch Safari and there's no [IP] icon.
Rinse and repeat.

So where do I go from here, please?

    Hi @Kefali,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the Safari extension right now. Please try installing it from our extension download page. Does this work better?

Thanks, that appeared to install it and a key icon appeared in the menu bar but a message popped up:
There is no application set to open the URL onepassword4-extension://activate/Safari.
I have a choice [Choose Application...] [Cancel] [Search App Store]

    Hi @Kefali,

My apologies. I included the wrong link there! (DOH.) I've updated my previous response, but the extension that you want is at this link: https://agilebits.com/extensions/mac/index.html

Let's try reinstalling the 1Password browser extension for Safari.

    Please follow these steps:

    • Open Safari.
    • Click Safari > Preferences in the menu bar.
    • Click the Extensions tab.
    • Click "Uninstall" for the 1Password 4 extension.
    • Restart Safari and visit the following page: https://agilebits.com/extensions/mac/index.html
    • Click the download button next to the Safari icon, and follow the instructions on the new page to install the extension.

This should work a lot better for you. :)
