Updating passwords

Options

Hi,
I was reading your blog about updating passwords and am trying to follow the instructions from this page:
http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/Mac/en/KB/update-password.html

In the last step 1Password is supposed to ask if I’d like to update the password, however this option is never presented to me. I only get the option to save the new password (and that is wrong, since it will only contain my old password and twice the new password).

I use Google Chrome and the 1Password extension with Windows 7.

Thank you

I'm afraid these instructions are for 1Password version 4.

If you are currently running 1Password version 1.0.9.340 then please follow these instructions: http://help.agilebits.com/1Password_Windows/updating-an-existing-password.html

    Thanks!

There's a LOT of useful information in the user's guide, accessible from the Help menu and in the Support area of our web site.

Yes, that's the version I'm running. Thank you for that link. Those instructions worked very well.

I appreciate that, however this time I was trying to follow an instruction I received in a mail (and on your blog), and those instructions did not match what was happening in my version of the software.

We understand, @Hoggorm, and we apologize for the confusion! :(
