Thanks for 4.3!

When I try to Export either to .tsv or .csv, 1P draws a huge empty window and hangs at the point where I need to identify and navigate to a Save location in the Finder.

Anyone else; anyone any ideas, please?

TIA!

I have the same issue. When I select a group of logins and choose to export as CSV I get a beach ball and a big long open window that flashes repeatedly until I force quit.

    Thanks, all and Rob!

It must be a known bug. At first I wondered whether it was because I was trying to save to an external(ly mounted) volume. But No. The same with the DeskTop of the boot volume.

It's also the same behavior with .tsv.

Tried leaving it 10 minutes - to no avail :-(

I have tried about a dozen times today - and given up until Agile releases a fix… please!

Same problem here. As a new user with an empty vault I'm not comfortable moving hundreds of records into 1pwd before this gets addressed. PLEASE FIX AND UPDATE! Thanks.

Export is broken for me too.

I select export as CSV but then the dialog box appears to show that it is exporting to a 1pif file then a strange blank window appears tat cannot be dismissed and the program locks.

I've heard from Chris at Agile. Apparently they are aware of the bug and are working on it. Good luck to them!

Just installed 1Password on my computer and have about 28 items in it. When I go to export as anything other than a .1pif (a csv or txt file) file the screen freaks out with endless refreshing and I have to force quit the program. It seems to be caused when I pull down on the file format selection button. Reproducible every time.

This is the upgrade that I have been waiting for. Unfortunately it has failed to function. I was attempting to export just my log in category to a .cvs file. When I select the.cvs from the drop down the processing icon begins I get an elongated window within the application window and that where it stays. I am forced to quit the application. When I quit the application I get the option to report and I select yes. The following are a few of the log file lines the entire log file is probably a few 1000 long.

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for reporting this problem that occurs when exporting Comma Delimited Text (.csv) and Tab Delimited Text (.txt) file formats using 1Password 4.3.

Note: This only affects version 4.3 from the Mac App Store due to a sandboxing issue and is expected to be fixed in the next update. Exporting to 1Password Interchange Format (1PIF) is still working with all versions.

We truly apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you until it's fixed. If you have any questions please let us know!

When you say update is that a major update or a fix?

    Hi @rsstorey,

It will be a minor update, probably numbered 4.3.1.

    SJK,

I need to be able to export 1Password data to be able to create hardcopy documentation, and I know it can take a long, long time to get updates published on MAS.

Is the following a recommended workaround: Migrate one of my three Macs to the web store version (following http://learn2.agilebits.com/1Password4/Mac/en/KB/mas-web.html) and use that Mac when I need to export from 1P?

    Thanks

    Hi @aal,

1Password 4.4 was just released on the Mac App Store, and should fix the import/export issue. Please let me know if it works for you! :)

    JasperP,

Yes it does... 1P 4.4 MAS does export as CSV. BTW, Watchtower is very cool and helpful. Thanks for the update and new feature.

Now that I'm looking at the exported data I see another issue...which I'll post under a new topic: when I choose to export all fields, some of the data gets scrambled. For example, login item titles appear in a field called "address(branchAddress)" and other issues.

    Hi @aal,

Thanks for confirming you're have at least partial CSV exporting success with the 4.4 update. We'll be looking for your followup about the data scrambling issues when exporting All Fields.

I'm glad to hear the new Watchtower feature is cool and helpful for you! :)
