Watchtower not detecting Dropbox 2FA.

Options

I've added 2fa to my dropbox account some time ago. Today I checked Watchtower and found that account listed as not being activated for 2FA (via SMS). I logged in at Dropbox and verified it is enable. I did a manual Watchtower refresh and it is still shown as not being activated.
What to do?

  • Hey, @sniem! 1Password can't snoop on your Dropbox account settings, so it only knows you have 2FA enabled if you've set up 2FA using 1Password as your authenticator app. Here's how you do that, if you're interested:

If you use another 2FA method, like SMS, or use a different authenticator app, you'll need to give 1Password a heads up that you've enabled 2FA. To do so, edit your item and add a 2FA tag to the Login item for that account. After that, Watchtower will stop bugging you. :+1:
