my MacBook pro is too old for 1Password 7, but my iMac is not
MacBook Pro OS 10.11.6 that cannot be upgraded running 1Password6 from a license
iMac OS 10.14.2 currently running iPassword6 from the same license
1Password 6 Version 6.8.9 (689001) AgileBits Store on both machines
currently syncing over dropbox, but I could sync over iCloud
1Password 7 would work on the iMac but not the Mac Book Pro. If I add 1Password 7 to the iMac will I be able to share vaults with the 1Password 6 on the Mac Book Pro?

@bearden: Yes. You'll need to use OPVault format for syncing, since 1Password 7 no longer supports the old AgileKeychain format, but 1Password 6 supports OPVault too.
