Master Password works on web not on ext. or desktop app.

I recovered a users account. She changed your master password. She can log in to 1Password.com however she cannot log in to either the Chrome extension or the desktop app. I've deleted both the extension and the app, restarted and reinstalled with no luck.

Hi @caprajm24,

Thanks for writing in. If the account credentials has changed via recovery, they'll have to rename the data folder on that PC to let 1Password sign in with the new account data.

To do this;

1. Close 1Password if it is running by right-clicking on the 1Password icon in the notification area to select Exit
2. Open Windows File Explorer and enter the following in the address bar: %LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password
3. Rename data folder to backup-data
4. Open 1Password and sign in.
