    1Password is designed to be used while connected to the internet. It can be used offline, but it isn't necessary to be offline in order to use it securely.

    Indeed, you should not enter or access anything sensitive on a device that is not trustworthy -- e.g. a public computer, or one that is compromised by malware, etc. 1Password can protect your secrets, but cannot stop you from giving them away.
