Cannot add account on iPhone5


Hi, I’ve been trying to add my family account to my old iPhone5 but it keeps telling me to “Check Your Email and Secret Key”. I am using the Scan Account Details feature so these are surely correct. Is there any advice anyone can offer as to how to get past this issue?

    Hi @nco ,

    Unfortunately 1Password accounts now require 1Password 7 which will not run on the iPhone 5. We do regret that this happened, and I'm sorry it leaves out one of your devices, and it's not possible to update older versions of the app for compatibility.

    On behalf of Kevin you're most welcome. I'm sorry we don't have a better answer right at the moment. We are looking at how we might be able to improve this situation for the future. That said, we'd always recommend keeping up to date with the latest versions of all of your software, but especially 1Password, your operating system, and your web browser.

    Hi @Rick2u

    Unfortunately with the iPhone 5 being unable to run the latest version of iOS I can't guarantee that we'll be able to do anything here. Our recommendation would be to upgrade to a device capable of running iOS 12. That said, we are still looking at a way in which we might be able to add backwards compatibility here.
