Added my daughter to my family today and now neither chrome extension works

The app seems to be set up correctly on both of our computers (2016 Macbook pro touchbar) but suddenly, clicking on the chrome extension icon in the bar does absolutely nothing. I've removed and reinstalled the extension on both computers but it didn't do anything. Any thoughts on making it work again? it's really disrupting my workflow!

Note: I've been using it successfully for years. But just today it stopped working.
