How to get a functioning version of 1P? on iPad Pro

Here's there story as briefly as possible.

  1. On my iPad Pro (latest version iOS) I had a functioning licensed version 1P on my iPad. On Jan 20th after autoupdating to the latest version it refused my master password and continued to refuse despite all efforts to make it work.
  2. I have a fully functioning backed up version of 1P 6.8.8 on MacOS 10.11.6
  3. I have deleted the version of 1P on my iPad and I cannot get a new version installed.
  4. I have been going round in circles for the last week trying to follow instructions on 1P website and forums: Enter master password (its not accepted), you need a secret code, no you don't need a secret code. etc etc.

So can someone please help me install a fully functional version of 1P on my iPad that is backed up and syncing with the version on MacOS? Patience will be needed as I am not only deeply confused and dizzy but I am also moving house at the same time.
