Misc. suggestions/wishes

Hi.

I have a couple of suggestions that would help make 1P even better (yes, somehow that's still possible):

  • in the main app or the extension: some sort of indicator that shows the length of existing passwords next to it
  • a preference setting that lets me choose "copy" as the default setting next to URLs or passwords. I use "copy" a lot but the default is usually "open and fill".
  • a way to make 1P understand that sometimes http-URLs, insecure or reused passwords are intended/unavoidable/OK with me. Examples:
    • In my LAN there are several devices whose admin website doesn't support https. I'd like to setting/button to make 1P aware that this is intended/OK with me and make these entries disappear from the warning list.
    • That includes some passwords marked as "insecure" as well: I have this one website where the login is composed of a short password and an OTP.
    • And the same for some reused passwords: if I have an email account entry and a webmail login for this account, of course, the password is reused. I need to make 1P understand that this is OK.

Thank you.
Best regards.

    Hi @1P4Me!

Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to to share this feedback! We appreciate every idea that could make 1Password even better.

I can see how these could be useful to you, so while I cannot make any promises, I can tell you that I have shared your feedback internally :)

Also, a couple of the things you mentioned are available already:

a preference setting that lets me choose "copy" as the default setting next to URLs or passwords.

"Copy" is already the default option next to password fields, "open and fill" is the default one only for URL fields.

a way to make 1P understand that sometimes http-URLs, insecure or reused passwords are intended/unavoidable/OK with me

You can already do this using tags. If you add an "http" tag to these items, 1Password will suppress the warning for the insecure website :)

    I hope this helps!
