Dumb question, but is it possible to use 1Password for FileVault 2?

    Hey @terryzx !

I'm not sure I understand the question. FileVault 2 is encrypting your entire hard drive, with 1Password on it (so 1Password and its files are encrypted in FileVault).
Are you asking if you can save FileVault's password in 1Password?

Wanted to use a large password but suppose not logged in won't allow it...

@terryzx You are correct. While you can store the FileVault's password in 1Password, you won't be able to autofill it so you would have to remember it or write it down somewhere, since it is usually being used even before 1Password even boots up.
Entering the FileVault's password manually can be a pain if it is a really long and complex password, but it might not be so hard if it is a worded password. You can generate a 5-6 words password in 1Password that will be easy enough for you to remember even without 1Password's help, but please do make sure you remember it, being locked out of a FileVault encrypted drive is not fun at all.
