Security for Word files

Greetings,
I am currently using the trial version of 1Password but plan to buy it when either I exceed the number of logins allowed or my trial period runs out . I am guessing that secure notes are text files. I would like to save Microsoft Word files with a password. Can I do this with 1Password?

You can drag your documents from Windows Explorer to 1Password and then drop them where it reads "drop an attachment here"0

I haven't found the place where it reads "drop an attachment here". More guidance please.0

Select any item. There is a very large white box that says "drop an attachment here" in the details view.
Drop your attachment there.
