I bought a gift card of 125$ (discounted at 99$) for which I need an invoice valid for taxing purposes because this purchase can be refunded as a company benefit. I already wrote to [email protected], but I was told that you could only provide an order confirmation, not a tax invoice, because your payments are handled by a company called Shopify. For this reason I was told to contact their support team. I contacted Shopify, but I was told that they are not affiliated with 1password as a reseller, but It's possible that you are using the Shopify payment gateway, but they could't confirm it for privacy reasons. In any case they told me that Shopify cannot provide sensitive account information to me directly, but you should contact them in order to get the tax invoice I need. They also told me that it's the seller that should be able to provide a tax invoice. PayPal invoices or order confirmations are not accepted in order ro get refunded because they are not TAX invoices. May someone explain this matter to me? From my point of view, every company should be able to provide a tax invoice if needed. For example Amazon has a dedicated e-mail address for this purpose. A customer could send an email writing the number of the order and they send a valid tax invoice. I would like to receive a definitive answer, if possible. Thanks in advance for your support.
