I've been running 1password 7. I just upgraded to Safari 13, and the 1password icon in Safari is gone. When I click on the 1password icon in the menu bar, it shows a button "Open Extensions Preferences in Safari", but it doesn't do anything when clicking on it. When I open the Extensions Preferences in Safari manually, no 1password extension is in the list.

1Password Version: 7.3.2
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10.14.6
Sync Type: 1password account

@mdehlwes - if you've got 1Password 7 for Mac already, then the extension for Safari is built into it. I'm not sure what combination of upgrades you did and in what order, but I'd recommend restarting your Mac. When it restarts, re-open both Safari 13 and 1Password 7 for Mac, and check to see if the extension is present in Safari's toolbar. If it isn't, visit Safari's Preferences > Extensions and make sure a) it exists and b) it's checked (active). Let me know what you discover.

I restarted the Mac and now the extension is present.

  • Great. Glad to hear that helped, @mdehlwes. If there is anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to contact us.
