Can't update software

When trying to update I get a (Windows) meassage:

"http://agilewebsolutions.com/autoupdate/check?product=1PWbuidnum=177platform=5.1.2600locale=Englishallow_betas=NO" is currently unavailable.
The web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your internet connection settings.

I don't have problems updating other software programs

I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

The URL you posted indicates that you are running a version of 1Password from over a year and a half ago. There have been 66 news versions since then which included some new update code. it is not possible to skip that many updates and have autoupdate work properly.

Please download the current version directly:

http://agilebits.com/downloads

Once you are running the current version, please be sure to stay up to date so you don't fall behind and miss out on updates again.

You data is stored separately. It is not tied to the app directly. Think of it like installing, removing, or upgrading Microsoft Word. It doesn't affect all the Word documents on your computer, just the application. Same thing with 1Password. You data is not affected by installing, removing, or upgrading the 1Password application.

Download and install the current version of 1Password directly from our website:

http://agilebits.com/downloads

You should be all set once you do.
