@dugbug - as a "person of age" (and therefore diminished visual capacity, shall we say ;) ), I feel your pain. At present, there's no way to increase font size in the Notes field of app (or Secure Notes) in the way I think you're imagining it -- like a word processor or text editor. However, you may be able to use Markdown to accomplish some of what you're looking for, either through bolding text or using the Header option. Hope that's helpful.

Same problem here. I looked everywhere thinking I would surely find a preference to make everything bigger, but didn't find any. Really, this is one big accessibility issue that should be a priority. Even a simple preference for "small", "medium" and "large" (the way Omnifocus does it) would be a step forward.
