Chrome: remembering logins

I'm running the latest version of Chrome on Mac OS 10.7.5. I'll explain this as best I can:

I am a member of a few confidental beta forums on the web, which password-protect their web pages, in other words, the entire directory is actually password-protected, and the browser brings up a dialog box asking for username and password. (Note: this is different than a web page simply having a login form -- this is a login for a password-protected directory.)

Because I use 1P, I've disabled Chrome from remembering all my passwords or offering to save them, etc. 1P has everything.

I've stored the passwords for these confidential sites in the Vault under Accounts (instead of under Logins).

Is there a simple way to either (1) get 1P to be able to fill in the user/pass for the popup dialog boxes, or (2) tell Chrome to remember the user/pass for those sites, but not any others? (Safari used to be able to do this, but I had to ditch Safari for other reasons.)

Thanks.

It sounds like you are referring to HTTP Authentication (or Basic Authentication) prompts:

    Thanks very much!

(Just found this reply -- despite the fact that I had e-mail notifications turned on, I was never notified -- this is the case with all my threads on the 1P forums)

We've had some ups and downs with the forums lately due to exponential growth in traffic from some recent announcements. I'll look into the email notifications.

I'm glad that link helped, though. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know. We are always here to help!
