Touch ID on focus (Mac)

Is there a way to configure Touch ID to start upon the app receiving focus? I often find myself Command-Tabbing to 1Password and then have to click the little fingerprint button to initiate Touch ID. It would be sweet if the Mac behaved more like iOS and just went straight to Touch ID.

    I think this was a deliberate choice to avoid prompts from appearing accidentally, but thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about this!
