I have an old MacBook Air lying around that can only run macOS 10.13. As far as I know, this is still supported by 1Password 7. However, the safari extension throws up an error message saying it's not compatible with my version of Safari - is it not possible to run 1Password 7 in Safari 11 anymore?

    @mbesemann,

    You'll want to update your Safari to at least Safari 12, which is compatible with macOS 10.13.

    @rudy - strange, the app store is not offering me an update for Safari (I have the latest macOS update). Is there a way to download it manually?

    @mbesemann,

    It sounds like you got bitten by a bug Apple had with their macOS 10.13.6 update. If you had installed Safari 12 prior to the update, installing macOS 10.13.6 would re-install 11 and put you into a state where you can't update to Safari 12 through the normal means.

    1. boot into safe mode https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262
    2. launch the AppStore and check for updates
    3. install Safari 12 that should now show up in the available updates list.

    @rudy That did it, thanks! I was able to install Safari 13.0.4.
