Selecting a saved login doesnt get me to the actual login (or even doesnt get me to the site at all)

Do I have this right ie:

That regardless of my current URL, that when selecting a login from 1Password that it would all in one go take one to the web site in question and then log one in automatically?

My confusion is that this does happen for some of my log ins but definitely not always.

For some clicking on the saved 1P login does _nothing _and so I must first "manually" make my way to the log in page and then I can log in just fine using 1P.

For others, selecting the log in from 1P takes me to the website in question

But I then need to select the "sign in" link found on that page and then again choose the saved 1P login to get in completely.

(I am happy to provide you/dev with the specific sites in question but only in a personal support email. Would that help? If so which support email is best to use?)

    Hey @jmjm ,
1Password should take you to a website when you select a login and will also autofill if there is a visible login form on the page. However if there is no visible login form, then 1Password won't be able to autofill. You can change the website address in 1Password so that it will contain a direct link to the login page, that way 1Password will be able to take you directly to the login page and autofill as well.

For example, if you have a login with the website https://www.nytimes.com/ , it should take you there but it will not autofill since there is no visible login form on that page. However if you change the URL in 1Password to https://myaccount.nytimes.com/auth/login then 1Password will take you there and autofill as well.

If you are having issues with specific websites, feel free to send us an email at support+filling-site@1password.com with all the details (both on your setup and about the website).

    Thanks for the example "Yaron".

Looking more carefully at my particular login, IP seemed to consider https://www.rogers.com/home as the EXACT MATCH to the "better" URL namely https://www.rogers.com/consumer/easyloginriverpage?showModal=true. Take a look to see the difference.

And this I am sure is obvious to (almost) any user of 1P; one can edit the website URL in 1P for a specific login. So replacing the one URL with the other and then saving the login has done the trick (except sometimes I will still need to select SIGN IN to complete the login...other times it will follow through with the actual SIGN IN).

    Hey @jmjm ,
Although the link you provided for rogers.com does show the login form (eventually), 1Password still does not see it when the page initially loads so it won't autofill there. It's a bit problematic with popup forms such as this since they don't load when 1Password does but rather much after.

However, may I suggest you try a different workflow here? I personally never use "open & fill" and I think you might find working with the keyboard shortcut much more helpful.
When you are on a login form and need to fill in your credentials, press `CTRL+\' (Control + Backslash) on your keyboard and 1Password will autofill whatever is visible on the screen. I find it much faster than opening the 1Password app first, finding the website and then launching it from there. Give it a go :)
