I have a mac license, and want to have 1password operational on my windows work computer.. is there a way i can add the windows machine without buying another complete license

Licenses are sold per platform, so you will need a separate one for your Windows machine. If you need to use 1Password on several devices, the Membership option is probably going to be a better choice so you don't have to purchase multiple licenses.
