Infinite "Validating" loop while updating to 1Password 7.4.2

I have a 13 inch late 2010 MacBook Air running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I attempted to update 1Password to version 7.4.2. I routinely install all available updates to 1Password, so my previous version was probably 7.4.1. The update reached the "Validating" phase, then entered a seemingly infinite loop. A half hour later, I quit the installer. Now 1Password / Preferences / Get Update says I already have the latest version installed. 1Password's About menu item says I have version 7.42 installed. Since the validation step failed, could I have a corrupted installation? What should I do?

    Hi @JRandomPerson!

If 1Password tells you that you are on the latest version, and you don't see any problems with the app, then you are ok. But if you want to attempt this again, you can try downloading 1Password 7.4.2 again from our downloads page and try to install it over your existing installation.
