1P 7 will not setup - Cannot access account on a clean install of 1P 7 V7.4.2

I've just done a clean install of macOS 10.15 on my Mac mini, and installed 1Password from the Apple App Store.

  • From the "New to 1Password?" screen I choose 1Password.com
  • It finds 2 accounts: 1 work and 1 personal
  • Click "Add" on the personal account
  • Prompted to enter Master Password
  • Enter Master Password and click "Sign in"

Result:
The Enter Master Password dialog does not dismiss — all buttons and the password field are greyed out.

1Password 7 does not respond to Quit and has to be force quit.

Please advise.

    I apologize for the delayed response. There is an issue with v7.4.2 when downloaded from the Mac App Store. This issue does not affect the version from our website. Please try downloading from there instead:

    We've identified and corrected the problem with the App Store version, so that fix should be in the next update.
