Can I invite users and have them not see the password at all to a log in

Hi,

I just started using 1password and I am trying to figure everything out. I am looking to have staff loggin into services online. I would prefer if they couldn't see the passwords at all but that they could still log in. Is that possible to do with 1password?

    Hi @marketplaceagency! 👋

I thought I'd jump in to clarify a few things. There's no technical way to share a password that is hidden and allow someone to actually use it. There is a permission in 1Password Business (https://1password.com/business/) called "View and Copy Passwords" that, when disabled, hides a password from someone. However, it shouldn't be relied upon as a way to stop people from seeing a password, because if they can still use it (filling in the browser directly), then they could fill it into a field that asks for the old password, and create a new one for the account. You're welcome to use that permission as a barrier for your team, though.

I hope that helps, feel free to contact our Business team at business@1password.com if you have any further questions!
