Changing to family subscription

Hello there,

I would like to invite my wife and convert my account to a family subscription. I don't see invite button on my account because my subscription was setup through Apple app store. Can you please help me with moving my account to family subscription? As far as I gather from previous forum messages, it seems like I need to cancel my subscription from Apple store first; but I want to make sure that I don't lose access to my account if I do that. My subscription is paid until September 4th, if I cancel, what will happen to my account?
