1Password quit unexpectedly.

I got a pop-up saying that 1Password wanted to update, so I said OK. Then my Mini extension disappeared, and my 1Password application won't start. It says "1Password quit unexpectedly." right away. What should I do?

    Let's replace the application.

    1. Quit Safari and any other open web browsers.

    2. Open and then quit 1Password completely (if running). * Hold down the Control and Option keys on your keyboard and choose 1Password > Quit 1Password Completely from the menu bar.

    3. In Finder, drag 1Password 7 from the Applications folder to the Trash. DO NOT use third-party app cleaners to remove 1Password (MacKeeper, CleanMyMac, AppZapper, and others). This can result in accidentally deleting all of your 1Password data.

    4. Empty the Trash.

    5. Restart the Mac.

    6. Install 1Password from our website: Download for Mac.

    7. Open and unlock 1Password, before opening your browser.

  • That worked! Thanks, ag_tommy.
