Yay! Apple just approved the new 1Password Pro version in the App Store! It means we can share the great news that 1Password can now sync automatically using Dropbox!

Here are the details on how to setup this new feature:

Automatic Syncing Using Dropbox

NOTES

  1. If you are already using Dropbox to sync your 1Password data between your Macs and/or PCs, you simply need to install the latest 1Password version and start it at least once before configuring your iOS device.
  2. There have been some reports that syncing uploads the entire data file on every sync. We are investigating this problem and hope to solve it soon. Please join the discussion in this thread if you are experiencing this issue.
  3. iPod 2G and iPhone 3G are experiencing problems. We are investigating how to solve this.

In the interests of keeping the thread current, the latest 1P running on an iPod Touch 2G updated to iOS 4.0, does not work. Once cloud sync has been turned on, it cannot be turned off, and 1P will only run for 30 seconds or so before crashing while it tries to sync. Further, since cloud syncing via Dropbox cannot be turned off, local LAN syncing with your updated main machine's copy of 1P won't work either.

Have you tried "rebuild data file" in 1Password desktop and then powered off your iPod (hard reset or full power off), powered on and then resynced?

No. There is no "rebuild data file" nor does it show up in Help on my 1P 3.3.0 desktop.
