Chrome extension on Mac not working

Steps to produce

  1. Open Chrome and go to any website where you need a password
  2. Click the 1pw icon either in the address bar of Chrome or in the username field of the website.
  3. It asks to verify TouchID as usual. It accepts.

Expected behavior

The lock icon on the 1pw icon disappears, and the window to select which credentials to fill appears.

Actual behavior

The lock icon on the 1pw icon doesn't disappear, and the window to select which credentials to fill doesn't appear.

chrome extension version: 1.20.1
chrome version: Version 83.0.4103.97 (Official Build) (64-bit)
mac version: high sierra v10.13.6

I tried restarting my computer. I tried un/re-installing the browser extension. None of it is working.

  • Same here. Browser extension won't unlock. Clicking on the icon offers no response. This happened just after installing the latest beta build of 1Password 7.

  • I am having the same problem.

  • One more note: using the Mac app with TouchID is working fine.
    My 1pw version is also 7.6.BETA-1 (70600001)

    @warhawkslt73, @jegesmaci, @adiallo: I'm sorry for the difficulty. If you revert to the previous beta, does that behave as expected? That may help us narrow down the cause.

  • As I said in my email, this feature started working again after I restarted my computer for a second time. Maybe others can give that a shot as well. Will report again if/when it comes back up.

  • I've never received a ticket number, but they've already responded. I'm upgrading the latest Mac app, restarting my computer, and will let you know if I run into it again. Thanks.
