Latest auto update won't accept Master Password

The latest auto update (App Store?) will not accept my Master Password. I've retyped it multiple times to eliminate the possibility of mistyping and have copied and pasted it making sure there were no extra spaces. No luck either way. I was able to log into my 1Password account typing in the Master Password and copying and pasting my Secret Key. No problem with using the same 1Password version on my iPhone but I'm using Facial Recognition to open the app but, at some point, I will have to key in the password manually and, right now, I'm scared to try that. I don't want to lose my saved passwords. Help!
