Hi there,

I must be doing something wrong I think.

When I wish to change a password on a site I am:

  1. Clicking on key icon on browser bar.
  2. Going to Password Generator.
  3. Clicking fill.
  4. Saving on relevant site.
  5. Clicking on key icon on browser bar.
  6. Going to Password Generator.
  7. Clicking on "View password history".
  8. Clicking on relevant entry.
  9. Clicking on 'copy' beside the relevant password.
  10. Going to relevant record of site I have changed.
  11. Click on arrow.
  12. Click on edit.
  13. Go to password field.
  14. Highlight old password.

This is where I can't get the password to paste in. It won't respond to right click and it won't Ctrl-V.

I had the problem with the right click not showing but Ctrl-V used to work.

This causes a bit of problems when changing passwords.

The right click works perfectly on the main application screen but it is a bit of a pain having to open that everytime I change a password.

I am using the Firefox extension.

I've not encountered this issue before and couldn't reproduce it just now using the current stable versions of 1Password, Firefox, and the 1Password Firefox extension.

What specific versions of (1) 1Password, (2) Firefox, and (3) 1Password Firefox extension are you using? I want to make sure we're on the same page.

I should note that there is no contextual menu within the extension popup, but CTRL-V should work very well to paste into the password field in the details view of a Login item in the 1Password extension in Firefox.

I'm a bit confused now. You said CTRL-V in your initial post so I moved this discussion to the Windows forum. If you are using OS X then CTRL+V will not paste. On a Mac, Command-V is the keyboard shortcut to paste. Please be sure you are using Command-V and not CTRL+V.

    Does that help?

Does the issue persist after restarting your Mac?

Fortunately you don't have a "donkey" emoticon for me to use.

This question is a product of having Windows at work and having Mac at home!!!!!!

What an idiot. Apologies for your hassle. I did know Command-V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phew! I'm just glad that's all it was. I was hoping there wasn't some kind of bug that I couldn't reproduce. :)

I'm glad everything is working well. Please do let me know if there is ever anything else I can help with.

    Cheers!
