  • Hi, I just installed v4.0b35 on my mac (10.8.4).
1PW recognized the location of my dropbox file... but I can not open the file... the master password is not accepted.
    What can I do?
    Thanks

Hi @Schumif, can you try to unlock the same file with the same password in 1PasswordAnywhere? You can access it by going to the dropbox.com website.

  • My master password is working well with 1PW 3 and 1PasswordAnywhere.

Are you using non-ASCII characters in the password?

  • I'm using only number and minuscule. I tried to change the password to "toto" and it's still not working

This is strange, I don't think we had this issue reported before.

Are you getting the correct password hint displayed after the several attempts?

Please also try to restart both 1Password and 1Password mini by holding Control key down and selecting "1Password > Quit 1Password and 1Password mini" menu.

  • It's still not working....
I tried to not select dropbox in the 1st menu and directly locate the 1PW file... and same result, I can not open the file in 1PW 4 whereas it's still working very well in 1PW 3

Are you seeing the correct password hint?

  • I do not see any password hint, I only see a grey box

Can you see the correct password hint in 1Password 3?

I wonder if by any chance 1Password 3 is using a different file?

  • you're right, 1PW3 uses dropbox file located in "1stpassword" file whereas 1PW4 uses dropbox file located in "1password" file.
I cleaned my dropbox file by deleting the wrong file. Now it's working very well.
Many thanks for your help... I'll try with pleasure this new version.
