Hi, I recently bought a family license and have so far only installed 1password on one computer. I am now about to format that computer, and then afterwards I plan on reinstalling 1password. Do I have to do something to release the license the computer is currently using so that a computer that will no longer exist will not be using up one of the licenses?

    A 1Passwod for Windows single-user license allows you to install 1Password for Windows on as many PCs as you like, as long as you're the only one using 1Password on those computers.

    A family license extends that to up to five family members living in the same household.

    As you can see, there's no limit to the number of computers—we license on a "per person, per platform" basis (which means that you'd have to have an additional 1Password for Mac license to use it on Macs).
