Browser keeps opening new tabs in Mac

Hi, I can't seem to stop this problem. I have an up-to-date iMac running OS X. Safari is also the latest. Since two days ago, every time I am on it, it starts launching new tabs with a weird URL that leads nowhere. Safari even self-launches with these tabs. What can I do to stop this?

Example of tab address:

    Hi @jvg1965,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble. I'm not quite sure how this is related to 1Password though. Could you check in Safari's Preferences to see what your homepage is set to?

I'd also like you to restart your computer, just to give things a fresh start - that often helps.
