    I'm sorry to hear that you've this issue. There's a bug in our updater that we're still trying to track down that can cause this in some rare instances. The solution to this is to:

    • Drag 1Password 5.app from /Applications to the trash. Do not use any type of "App Uninstaller Apps" as they will put your data at risk.
    • Empty the trash
    • Download the app again from our website's download page.
    • Drag it into /Applications
    • Launch it

    It should work fine. Your data is stored separately from the app itself so during these steps your data is nice and secure.

    Can you just confirm that you did this update from within the app by following the update prompts? As opposed to having downloaded this manually from our website.
