Mac: Does 1Password 5 License work on retroactively on 1Password4?

I do not have Yosemite installed (which is required for 1Password 5, so I installed the trial for 1Password4. Fits my needs better than mSecure and would like to buy, but the only way to get a license is to purchase 1Password5. I am happy to do this (will likely eventually upgrade to Yosemite) but want to be sure that this license will work on the trial 1Password 4 that I just installed.
