Is it possible to import 1P from the desktop App v4.x to the iOS App v5.x? If so, how, I didn't see an option in the iOS App's settings.

1Password Version: Mac desktop v4 latest, iOS v5 latest

  • Hi @Nolan1nt3raktive,

Either Dropbox sync or WiFi sync should do the trick for you, but it is a bi-directional sync. If you just want to overwrite the data on iOS with the data on the Mac you can uninstall the iOS app first, which will remove all the data from iOS, then sync.

    You can find instructions here:

    iOS: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/syncing
Mac: https://support.1password.com/guides/mac/sync.html (note: these instructions are for v5, so the exact steps may vary a bit)

    Thanks!

    Ben

So it is possible to sync v4 (desktop) data to Dropbox, then from Dropbox to v5 (iOS)? That's funny, I sync'd the desktop data to Dropbox and it wasn't detected by v5 in iOS.

    It is, yes.

Do you have the Dropbox app installed on the iOS device? Do you see the 1Password.agilekeychain file in your Dropbox account on the iOS device?

Yes I do see 1Password.agilekeychain but the sync errors out after a long period of time, something about "1 Password will no longer sync because no sync source was found for the profile"

FYI... I bought the iOS license for 1P too, still didn't work.

  • I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

A short note here with your ticket ID which our friend BitBot will email you once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

    Ben
