For quite sometime now I have been
unable to load a website for a
supermarket eGift cards that I always
have in 1Password for security.
I have an iPhone 5s and when trying
to log in I get the notice 'Failed to load page'. My husband has iPhone 4s and
his phone comes up with 'Server Certificate Problem' with 'Would you like to connect to the server anyway?' With
the choice to Cancel or Continue,
a choice which my phone is not
offering to me. This has been quite
frustrating as I am unable to check
eGift card balances before making a
purchase. Can you help please?

  • Hi @ladyjake,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us.

    Server Certificate Problem

This error indicates a problem with the SSL certificate that the website is using. Common causes are that the certificate has expired, or is self-signed (vs being signed by a trusted issuing authority). This is an issue that the company running the website would need to fix. Unfortunately it isn't something we're able to fix for them.

With the choice to Cancel or Continue

Safari may offer the option to continue to view websites that have invalid SSL certificates, but 1Password does not, for security reasons. For now the only workaround would be to use Safari instead of 1Password to access this site. If you are using 1Password 5 for iOS or greater you may be able to use our Safari extension to fill your credentials from 1Password into Safari:
    https://support.1password.com/guides/ios/enable-extension.html

Otherwise you may want to copy & paste your credentials from 1Password into Safari when accessing this site.

    Thanks!

    Ben
