OPVault migration

Hi

I have been reviewing the information on moving from the older 1Password vault format to the newer more secure version but I am a little confused and more than a little nervous.

I am using 1Password syncing with DropBox and currently have the following devices all syncing with this DropBox:-

MBP Retina
MB Retina
Mac Mini
Parallels VM running Windows 7 on MBPr
iPhone 6s
iPhone 5s
iPad Air 2

That is a lot of devices all sharing the same synced library.

Can you break down what I need to do, in order and device by device!

Assume the MBPr is the primary DropBox computer and would be first to change.

I would really appreciate the assistance.

Regards.

Robin

PS I am running the very latest version of 1Password on all devices and all devices are on either 10.11.1, 9.1, or latest patched Windows 7.

@Robster: This is actually deceptively simple. It's just the breadth of devices that's making it seem overwhelming:

    1. Make sure everything is sync'd and then backup your data
    2. Disable sync on all devices
    3. Follow this guide to convert to OPVault on only a single device
    4. Set up sync on the device with the new OPVault
    5. Set up sync on each additional device, pointing them to the OPVault
    6. Delete the old vault once you're sure it is no longer needed

If you run into trouble at any particular point, just let me know where you're stuck and we'll unstick you. Let me know how it turns out! :)

On behalf of Brenty, you're very welcome! I'm glad he was able to help clear that up for you. Hopefully it all goes well, but we're here for you if you have more questions or run into any trouble with that. :)
