Migrating from 1Password and DropBox to Teams

Options

Hello,

We utilize 1Password at our business (4 users), and we use DropBox to share multiple vaults between us. If we move to 1Password for Teams, how will these vaults be migrated and how will they be accessible compared to the current method (seeing all vaults in Dropbox, need to enter pw to add vault to each user's machine).

We've utilized 1Password in this fashion for several of our clients and if the migration process works properly for us and existing clients, we would be interested in an eventual move to it.

1Password Version: 5.4.1
Extension Version: 4.4.3
OS Version: 10.11.1
Sync Type: DropBox

@chrisl_cirrus: With 1Password for Teams, you'll simply be able to copy the data fro your existing vaults to the Teams vaults as needed. If you liked sharing vaults with clients using Dropbox, you'll love 1Password for Teams. It gives you a lot more granular control over who has access to what, without having to setup a whole new vault every time. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think! :)

It's seems that the process to copy data from an existing vault to a team vault is exclusive to MacOS. Any alternative right now on Windows ? Or do we have to wait for the Windows App ? Thank you :)

    Hi @juliencollee,

Our developers are working on getting 1Password for Teams functionality built into 1Password for Windows, but for now, you're right. You will need a Mac to move data over. We appreciate your patience as we work to polish up the details on 1Password for Windows and get it ready for you all!
