(Safari) WebClient bug: "Failed to save item: Incorrect Version value has been sent"

Software/Hardware: WebClient in Safari 9.0 on El Capitan, iMac (late 2011).

Bug: when changing tags on a set of items in a single vault after about 3 edits this error will appear. Refreshing the page brings me back to the login screen indicating some sort of authentication failure.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have more than 2 item in a vault.
2. One by one edit each item and add a tag to each item.
3. By about the third edit this error will appear.

Cancelling the edit and retrying still results in this error. Refreshing the page brings the user back to the login screen for the team.
