Trial expired. I already have 1Password. Why do I need to purchase it again?

My spouse purchased a family account for 1Password, which he uses on his computer. I believe he downloaded it from the AgileBits website. He installed 1Password to my computer, but it reads, "Trial expired. Click here to buy." I believe he downloaded it from the AgileBits website since it isn't listed as purchased in the app store. How can I update 1Password using my spouse's Key?

    Hi @slongacre,

I'm sorry for any confusion about that! The Trial Expired message simply means you have not yet activated it by adding a license file, or by signing into a 1Password for Teams or 1Password Families account. Please take a look at this knowledgebase article for more information about that: "Trial Expired" notice (Mac)

I don't know exactly what your spouse purchased, so if you need more help with that, please send us an email at support+licenses@agilebits.com in case we need any information (like a name, email address, receipt, etc) that shouldn't be posted on these public forums. Please also include a link to this forum discussion and your forum username so we can "connect the dots" when we receive your message.

Once you've sent the email, feel free to reply here with the Support ID number you receive in the automated reply from our BitBot assistant, and we'll be able to track down your email to make sure you hear back from someone as soon as possible. Thanks! :)
