Unable to install browser extension on mac

I just downloaded 1Password 6 for the first time today and am unable to install the browser extension. It brings up this error.
Any help would be appreciated!

Also, can the browser extension be used in Chrome?

    Can you confirm that the url its trying to connect to is: https://agilebits.com/onepassword/extensions ?

    I was trying to do it through Firefox before when it wasn't working, but I changed my default browser to Chrome now and the link you sent worked (and doing it through the app works too). Not sure if it was just a problem with Firefox, but I'm ok with just using Chrome. Thanks!

    Hello @kvdraper,

    Please let us know if you do want to use 1Password in Firefox as we do develop and maintain extensions for the three major browsers; Safari, Firefox and Chrome. It is possible an extension or anti-virus application may be involved although unless the anti-virus relies on a browser extension you would assume that it would equally affect Chrome and Firefox. If you want our extension in Firefox though we will work with you to figure it out as it should work.
