1password is not saving initial configuration information

Hi, I have an issue with 1password on my mac. I suffered some corruption in the ~/Library folder. I have since tried various combinations of restoring those files and reinstalling 1password but I am stuck with this issue.

I can launch 1password and use it to retrieve my passwords. However, every time I launch it, I have to click through the 3 screens that appear during an initial install:
1. Security is automatic screen: lock after computer is idle...
2. Rich icons
3. 1password mini
4. Keep in sync

In addition, when I close 1password, I have to always respond to the "Enable 1Password Mini" screen again.

These configurations are not persisted between launches.

How can I fix this?

1Password
Version 6.3.1 (631005)

1Password Version: 6.3.1
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: el cap
Sync Type: icloud

  • Hi @pacificera ,

I have a suggestion for you.

    1. Quit 1Password by holding down the control key while selecting Quit 1Password and 1Password mini from the 1Password menu.
    2. Open your terminal and enter the following command:
      defaults remove 2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper

After that, you will get asked one more time, but that should be it. If you get asked again, try restarting your Mac. If that doesn't help, please let us know.

    Cheers,
    Kevin
