Got an error: Cannot sign in. Operation-specific reason

Hello 1password team,

we got the following error message on 1password Team:
"Cannot sign in. The operation failed for an operation-specific reason".

We have already started an account recovery but that doesnt fix the issue.
What does this error message mean?

  • Hey @haddi! Sorry about that. Is this error happening in one of the apps or in a browser? If it's in a browser, could you try another browser? And if it's in the apps, could you try a different device?

    The error is happening in a browser (Firefox 47.0.1) on TEAMNAME.1password.com .
    The issue occured only on one client, on the other client it works with the same browser version fine.
    We already flushed all browser caches..

    We've seen reports of this error from Firefox users, but it doesn't seem to be consistently reproducible and we haven't figured out yet what is causing it. If you can use another browser like Chrome or Opera, that would be my recommendation for now.

    I'm sorry for the trouble! Just to check, are you using Windows 10 by chance? I believe we've seen the issue there more than anywhere else.

    thanks for your answer. We have the issues on Win. 7 Prof 64bit.
    BTW: Windows 10 works fine.
