1Password extension disappeared after installation of Xcode from apple app store. Cannot reinstall.

After installing Xcode from the app store the 1Password extension disappeared from Safari (9.1.2) under OS 10.11.6. No problem with main 1Password application. Installed several times but when asked "Are you sure you want to install the extension “1Password”?" in the safari extension pane and say yes, I get a blank list in the extension pane with no extensions and no icon in banner above. The extensions folder in the Safari library is empty. Please help!

Have you been installing the extension via our extension download page or from the Safari extension gallery? If you’ve been trying via our downloads page, you might have better luck installing directly from the extensions gallery.
