Can't update on Mac OS X 10.11.6

I am seeing a popup saying that an Update is available. When I click on the Update button I get and error message saying "Failed to check for updates The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted." What can I do?

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble updating 1Password! Can you please try restarting your computer and see if it helps? If it you still get the same message please let us know so we can get in deeper into what might be going on :chuffed:

    I restarted my computer several times and this problem still persists. :-(

    Hmmm, at this point, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac so that we may take a look at your logs and hopefully figure out what is going on:
