New 1Password user but running into multiple issues

Hello --

I've been envious of my mac friends (and now I'm both a MAC/PC person myself) of 1Password and today I finally bought the PC/MAC bundle of 1Password. I am trying to migrate from lastpass but have been running into multiple issues that are preventing me from realizing the real value of 1Password and instead requiring me to stay with lastpass.

On PC at least, they are:

1) I cannot save/autofill web server basic auth prompts. LastPass provides this.
2) 1Password doesn't detect the difference between two sites on the same domain (e.g. wiki.company.com and jira.company.com). Either 1P doesn't even prompt me to save the login information OR it thinks it already has it from another site on the same domain.
3) I tend to be running into multiple sites where when I sign into a new site, 1P doesn't even ask me to save the login information. This seems to be hit or miss.

I do love the dropbox sync and have that working between my iphone/mac/pc. If I can get the first 2 issues addressed, that would help a lot.

Oh, I'm using Firefox 6 and the latest version of 1P.

Thanks in advance,

New 1P customer...

Our browser extensions do not support this, but our stand-alone app does. Launch 1Password, find your login item, and then click the "Auto-Type" button on the toolbar.

1P should prompt you to save the login information *if the password is different from the existing login item*. If the password is the same, then 1P assumes a login item for this domain already exist, and it does not prompt you.

However, you can always create a new login item manually; click the 1P button in your web browser, and then click on the button labelled "Save Login".

What URL are you seeing this? Remember you can always create a new login item manually (see above).

    Welcome to the forum, Grant!

Here are links for the two features Stefan mentions above:
I hope you won't mind my suggesting that you take a few minutes to read the Introduction, Getting Started, and Tutorials sections of the user's guide. They're short, and they'll give you the information you need to get up to speed quickly. As you use 1Password for Windows, we believe you'll find the FAQ section to be a useful resource, too.
