edited December 2016 in 1Password 4 for Windows

About 2 weeks ago each time 1Password starts in the tray I get a popup: http://i67.tinypic.com/mw4dgp.png

In Chrome (Version 54.0.2840.99 m) when I try and run the extension I get: http://i64.tinypic.com/8wl5qs.png

When I open the 1Password App I see this: http://i63.tinypic.com/10i59xu.png

How can I get 1Password working again without losing what I have saved, I am unsure of the log location as well to provide further details. Also, how do I verify my sync type?

Thank you.

1Password Version: 6.1.308
Extension Version: 4.6.2.90
OS Version: Win 7 x64
Sync Type: ?

    Hello @jaxisland,

Thank you for reaching out! :+1:

In order to resolve this issue, please try to update your Chrome to the latest version available. Here is how. Let me know how it goes.

If you are using 1Password account and 1Password 6, then you don't need to set up a sync option – your encrypted vault is stored on our servers and sync happens automatically. Just download 1Password app and sign in to your account.

I hope it helps. Please keep us posted! Thanks in advance!

I followed the link and all signs are pointing to my Chrome already being on the latest version. I went into the settings and verified here as well: http://i66.tinypic.com/nq91ma.png

    Thank you.

  • Hi @jaxisland,

That's not the latest version, the latest is 55.0.2883.87.

Chrome 54 has an expired certificate that 1Password will refuse to accept. My suggestion is try downloading a new copy of Chrome from Google's site and see if that'll update you. You can find it here: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html

So even through my Chrome "thought" it was updated, it clearly was not. I did a fresh download of Chrome and ran the installer. I am now up to date and 1Password is working.

    Thank you for the help.

  • That's great to hear and you're welcome!
