Reference another item from within an item

It would be great if you were able to reference another item from an item. As an example you might have a membership card item that you do not want to have as a login webpage. But they are closely related.

You should be able to view information from all related items at the same time. In that way you could show information about the login page, and have your membership data present at the same time. Maybe divided by a horizontal line where the selected item are the topmost item page and then the related items pages below.

You could use tags but that would quickly fill up your tag overview. And tags gives more value that group many items together rather than just two or three related items.

  • Hi @SoftAllan,

Have you used the 'Related Items' feature? It's not available in all of our apps yet, but it allows you to create links between items. The linked item only shows a title and label, as opposed to the full details as you describe.

The scenario you describe is one that we've had on our minds for a long time. It's a very interesting problem.

    Hi Rick.
Thanks for the quick reply :)

I have not seen the Relate Items feature. Is it available in my Family account?

@SoftAllan: Right now 1Password for Mac and iOS support Related Items fully, while 1Password for Windows and the web interface can display the information if it's already present in an item, and we're working to get it implemented fully across all platforms -- including web. :)

Is the related items feature available in the cloud version?
